Your right to data deletion

You have the right to request deletion of the personal information Prevent Water holds about you. This includes data collected through our website, advertisements, WhatsApp conversations, in-home diagnostic visits, and customer service interactions.

How to request deletion

To request deletion of your personal data, choose one of the following options:

  • By email: send a message to contato@preventwaterfl.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include your full name, phone number, and email address used with Prevent Water.
  • By WhatsApp: message us through the official Prevent Water WhatsApp linked on preventwaterfl.com and request "data deletion".
  • By postal mail: Prevent Water, Data Privacy Officer, Florida Central, United States.

What information we need from you

To verify your identity and locate your records, please provide:

  • Your full name as registered with us.
  • The phone number you used to contact us.
  • The email address associated with your account, if any.
  • The approximate date of your last interaction with us.

We require this information to confirm you are the rightful owner of the data and to avoid deleting records of someone else by mistake.

What gets deleted

Upon a valid request, we will delete:

  • Your contact information (name, phone, email, address).
  • Your message history with us through WhatsApp, forms, emails, and other channels.
  • Your records in our customer relationship management system.
  • Advertising audience records associated with your contact information.

What we may need to keep

Some information may be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons even after a deletion request, including:

  • Transaction records required by tax authorities for the applicable retention period under Florida and federal law.
  • Warranty and installation records, retained for the warranty period of equipment installed in your home, as required to honor warranty terms.
  • Records subject to ongoing legal proceedings or regulatory obligations.

When we retain limited information for these reasons, it is kept securely and used only for the specific purpose required.

Processing time

We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receiving it. You will receive a confirmation when the deletion is complete. If we need additional information or cannot fulfill your request, we will explain the reasons in writing.

Withdrawing advertising consent

If you want to opt out of our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising audiences, you can request that we remove your information from our custom audiences. This is separate from full data deletion and can be requested through the same channels above.

Effect on services

Once your data is deleted, we will no longer be able to provide ongoing technical support, warranty service, or future installations under the same record. If you have active equipment installed, please consider this before requesting deletion.
